I am a former high school teacher, an occasional photographer, and a constant student of art and design. Throughout my life, I've had a special interest in the creative process, and I love peeking behind the scenes to study how creatives create. This led, first, to literature and education: teaching students how to examine texts, understand language, and write their own fiction and nonfiction works. Now, I'm excited to transition into UX/UI design, where I can translate my fascination with the creative process into a new type of storytelling: understanding the needs and habits of users, testing designs, and creating intuitive sites and features that are both functional and beautiful. In both literature and design, it all comes down to intentional, thoughtful communication with your user or audience, and in this, I believe my innate curiosity is my greatest asset.

In my free time, I enjoy drawing, reading, writing, documentaries, cycling, and ice cream. I used to run marathons, but my toenails fell off.
